To those solving the problems of the world – ECLEVA says thank you

Last week the ECLEVA team had the amazing experience of attending the annual NETHOPE summit in Puerto Rico, supporting a community that is still rebuilding itself after the devastation of Hurricane Maria over two years ago. With the shared vision of using technology to bring communities out of poverty and devastation, the summit brought together the IT communities from the largest NGOs, Academics, thought leaders, technology partners, and vendors including Microsoft, Salesforce, and Amazon to name a few.

The NGO sector faces several challenges, including supporter funds declining, while poverty, natural disasters, and political unrest continue to rise. The key message from the conference was clear that digitisation, automation, and interoperability of systems and data is required in the NGO sector to drive sustained community impact and ongoing donor support. The MS Common Data Model was referenced repeatedly as the next major technology disruptor.

As a Microsoft Partner for over two decades, including a MS Partner for Social Impact, ECLEVA has worked with many non-profit clients over the last 15 years. Having developed a number of business and in-field apps aimed at strengthening the connections between donors and communities through positive change stories, accurate impact reporting, and better supporter management, ECLEVA is excited to continue being part of this community and working with our innovative clients to achieve more significant impact.

ECLEVA to attend Microsoft Education Summit this February

ECLEVA will be attending the Microsoft Global Education Partner Summit (GEPS) on February 5 – 8, 2018, in Seattle, Washington. Representing the company is our Client Delivery Manager, Mr. Peter Kendhammer

GEPS is an exclusive annual conference for select Microsoft partners that focuses on the education sector. There will be a series of keynote presentations, workshops, and strategy discussions about Microsoft’s latest innovative solutions for the education sector.

Participants can also learn more about future project roadmaps, experience hands-on demos, and build new connections with fellow industry experts.

ECLEVA signs partnership agreement with Marketo

ECLEVA has today signed an alliance agreement with Marketo to provide implementation and integration services in Australia and New Zealand.

ECLEVA is an established provider of software solutions to the Australian Higher Education, Research and Government sectors that focus on stakeholder interaction management whilst Marketo is a global provider of best-in-class marketing automation software.

“We’re very excited at entering into this partnership with Marketo,” said Martin Halmarick, CEO of ECLEVA. “We’ve worked closely with TAFE’s and Universities over the last decade in understanding their needs and helping them drive opportunities for student acquisition, management and retention. As a result, we developed our EduRe CRM suite for Student Engagement and Commercial Engagement.

Staff Announcement Japesh and Jorge

ECLEVA is pleased to announce the continued growth and addition of two new Client Delivery Managers (CDMs) to the deliver team, Japesh Thyagarajan and Jorge Rengifo.

 

Jorge comes with 16 years’ experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics CRM and a variety of other ERP and CRM solutions.  Jorge also has a wealth of experience as a business analyst, project manager and change manager on a number of large and complex projects.

 

Japesh has over 15 years’ experience in IT with an impressive portfolio of technologies including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, document management (SharePoint), mobility platforms and custom application development. Japesh is also an experienced project manager certified as a Scrum master and PMP. Japesh has carried out many large scale projects and has extensive team management experience.

 

Jorge joined us late October, and Japesh is starting early December, both will be based out of our Sydney office.

 

Please welcome Japesh and Jorge to the ECLEVA family and look forward to them making a significant impact to all our clients.

ECLEVA’s Martin Halmarick to speak at Business Process Conference

Martin Halmarick, ECLEVA’s Managing Partner, will be speaking at the 4th Annual Business Improvement in Universities Conference happening on June 28 – 29, at CQ Functions Melbourne.

Martin will be discussing the following key points:

  • The importance of developing stronger partnerships between universities and the commercial sectors, especially with the recent budget cuts in the higher education sector.
  • Challenges that universities are currently facing in establishing educational funding solutions
  • Recommendations on creating a better commercial engagement model

Before ECLEVA, Martin was the Senior Partner and Managing Director of S1 Consulting, a consultancy firm that’s focused on creating technology solutions for the research and education sectors. In 2016, S! Consulting and PnP Solutions merged to form ECLEVA.

The Business Process Conference is a two-day event that will tackle different business solutions that universities can use to optimise resources, measure return of investments, improve commercial engagement, and more.

The key speakers of this event are Professor Peter Rathjen, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Tasmania; Andrew Walters, Vice-President Finance & Operations of the UNSW Sydney; Marilyn Thompson, Associate Provost, Human Resources of the University of Waterloo Canada; and Ian Ford, Vice-President Finance & Chief Financial Officer of Victoria University.

Aside from meeting leaders in the education sector, participants can also take part in three workshops on strategic planning to frontline service, managing the business improvement in universities, and how to successfully apply changes in your university.

Key takeaways from Microsoft Inspire 2019

Inspire 2019, Microsoft’s largest event for its partner community was held from the 14th of July until the 18th of July with the motto “Together, we achieve more.” At the Inspire conference, partners were given the opportunity to build meaningful connections with fellow partners, learn about Microsoft’s roadmap for the upcoming year and interact with leading tech innovators.

Here we explore a few key takeaways from Microsoft Inspire 2019:

 

Strong growth of Dynamics 365

Microsoft reported $33.7 billion and net income of $13.2 billion for its fourth quarter of 2019. It was a record fiscal year for Microsoft with huge increases year-over-year (in Q4 2018, Microsoft has reported revenue of $30.1 billion and net income of $8.9 billion). Dynamics products and cloud services revenue increased 12%, driven by Dynamics 365 revenue growth of 45%.

 

AI-induced Dynamics 365

Dynamics 365 continues to provide improved forecasts and insights thru AI-supported Insights modules.

 

“You can predict your sales pipeline and drive sales efficiency. You can improve your customer service because of Insights. You can improve your Customer 360 view. These are all new Insight modules that are part of Dynamics. In fact, you can deploy them with any customer who may have a different business system, because there’s no one who has deployed these AI-first modules, this is the best opportunity for everyone in this room to become a strategic partner for our customers, to be able to infuse into every customer these AI-first modules.” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

 

Mixed Reality Cloud

Microsoft Mixed Reality Cloud aims to bridge business process and any application across the boundaries of what’s virtual and what’s physical.

 

“The combination of Azure spatial anchors applications in Dynamics 365, a device like HoloLens 2, and any phone with an AR framework can all come together to power this next generation of Mixed Reality apps, and unlock an amazing opportunity for all of you,” Nadella said.

 

Microsoft Teams’ Monumental Growth

Two years ago, Microsoft launched Teams, the hub for teamwork that combines chat, calling, video meetings, and files into a single, integrated app. Today, Teams has over 13 million active daily users and 19 million active weekly users moving ahead of market leader Slack.

Newly branded Business Applications ISV Connect program

Between now and October, ISVs will need to agree to the compulsory ISV Addendum in order to continue to offer solutions (apps) that are built on, connected to, or extend Microsoft’s Business Applications platform including Dynamics 365 and PowerApps, and where there is a revenue opportunity, Microsoft Flow. Microsoft Business Central and Power BI are exempt, for the time being.

 

Internal use rights and benefits are here to stay

At Inspire, Gavriella Schuster, CVP, One Commercial Partner started her Corenote by addressing the previously announced changes related to internal use rights and competency timelines.

 

“As you may know, a couple of weeks ago we announced changes to the program competencies in internal use rights, and the response from you about the ecosystem was overwhelmingly negative. We clearly underestimated the value of those benefits, and the impact that would have on you and your businesses. When I heard your response, and I listened to what you were saying, and I read every single blog, and tweets, and article. In my mind, there was really no choice for us to walk back on that change. So, we are going to keep the FY19 competencies and internal use rights just as they are,” said Schuster.
